Crown Games
Privacy policy
Updated 23 October 2026
This policy covers every game made by Richard Elms under the Crown Games name and published on Poki. Richard Elms is responsible for the data processing described here. Contact: richardelms@gmail.com.
Game saves
Our games run on your device. They store your progress, such as coins, upgrades, unlocks, achievements and best times, and your preferences, such as sound and language, in your browser so you can carry on playing. No game account is required and we do not ask for your name or email address. We do not send these saves to our own server. Browser saves remain until you clear site data or your browser removes them; clearing them removes your local progress.
Playing on Poki
The Poki versions of our games use Poki’s SDK. Through it, a game tells Poki when it has loaded, when play starts and stops, and when it would be a good moment for an advertisement, such as between rounds or on returning from a pause. Poki decides whether an advertisement is shown. Optional videos that give a reward in the game play only when you choose them.
Our games also report fixed gameplay milestones through Poki’s SDK, such as a round started or ended, how far a run got, which screens were opened, features used, items used or bought, and whether an optional video was offered or watched. Where a value is reported, it is a fixed category or a broad band, never an exact figure. These messages contain no name and no free text. We use the resulting reports to understand and improve our games.
Poki separately processes platform information, such as device, network and usage data, and manages its cookies, advertising and any account or cloud-save features. Its purposes, legal bases, retention periods, international transfers and privacy choices are explained in Poki’s Privacy Center. Versions of our games played outside Poki do not load Poki’s SDK.
What we do not do
- We do not run our own analytics, tracking or advertising services in our games.
- We do not run game servers or a player database for our games on Poki; everything a game remembers stays in your browser.
- We do not sell your personal data.
If a game ever needs more than this, for example online play with other people, this policy will be updated to describe that game’s data before the change is released.
Children
Our games are made to be played without giving any personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Parents and guardians may contact us with any question or request about a child’s data.
This website and contact
This policy is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security; see GitHub’s privacy statement for its processing, retention and international-transfer information.
If you email us, we use your email address and message through Gmail to respond, based on our legitimate interest in providing support and handling privacy requests. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to resolve and document your request or meet legal obligations. Google’s processing and international safeguards are described in its privacy policy.
Your rights
You can clear local saves using your browser’s site-data settings. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests, where applicable. You may complain to your local data-protection authority; see the European Commission’s explanation of your rights. For data held by Poki, use the privacy controls and contact details in its Privacy Center.
We will update this policy when our data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
